Lucky's Picnic 10
The cat put the cloth on the ground.
She got the basket and opened the lid.
One by one, she got the items out of the basket.
First, she got the fruit out.
An apple and orange and a banana.

So the cat took the cups and the plates out of the basket.
“The cups are too big for me”, squeaked the mouse.
“I’ve got an idea”, said Lucky . “What’s that? “, squeaked the mouse.
Why don’t you use the cups from the acorns?
“What a good idea”, exclaimed the mouse.
So he took the cup off the acorn so he could drink some water.

The mouse took out his fishing rod.
He started fishing in the stream that flowed near the oak tree.
“Wow, I’ve just caught a fish”, exclaimed the mouse.
“Well, we’d better have that for supper,” said Lucky.
“because we have too much food here.”

“Hark!”, said Lucky.
“What’s that?” squeaked the mouse.
“Hush”, said the cat.
They could hear some rustling behind them.
“Hello”,. They shouted together.

There was no answer, but the rustling kept going.
“Hello”, said Lucky. “I’m sure that somebody is there.”
“Hello, squeaked the mouse.
“Hello”, purred, the cat.
But still no answer.
