Lucky's Picnic 1
Lucky looked out the window.
He asked, “What shall we do today?”
Let’s go on a picnic, said the cat.
“Wow, that’s a great idea,” said the mouse. “ Where shall we go for a picnic?”
”Let’s go down to the woods,” said Lucky,” and have our picnic under the old oak tree.”

“What do we need to take ? “, asked Lucky.
“Well”, said the cat. “We will need to take some food.”
“Some apples, some bananas, and some oranges for the fruit.”
“And some cheese and biscuits,” squeaked the mouse.
“Plus lettuce and tomato for a salad,” meowed the cat.
“I’ll take my fishing rod to catch some fish,” said Lucky..

The cat found a wicker basket with a wicker handle.
She carefully put a large napkin in. so that the food would go on top.
“Don’t forget to put a knife in!” shouted Lucky.
Then the cat slowly filled the basket with all the food.
Then she covered the food with a cloth.
“We are ready to go on our picnic now,” said the cat.

“What about the plates and cups?” squeaked the mouse.
Oh, I forgot, said the cat.
So the cat went and found some cups and plates and put them into the basket.
Lucky put on his brand new red shorts.
The cat put on her poker-dot dress.
Then the mouse put on his bow tie.
